The Department of Housing is currently hiring qualified individuals for summer Landscape work from May through mid-August. The position requires 24-40 hours of work per week. This position starts at $22.00 per hour.
Remote/Hybrid WorkApproval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance of grounds to include mowing, watering, weeding, planting, mulching, landscaping, cutting/moving brush and pruning shrubs, etc.
- Assist in maintaining and landscaping Housing Services grounds using tractors, mowers, sprayers, spreaders, hand tools, and landscape equipment.
- Remove brush, leaves, grass clippings, and other trash and debris from walks, roads, curbs, parking lots, lawns, and other Housing Services property.
- Adjust, clean, oil, grease, inspect water level, anti-freeze, and air pressure of tires on equipment.
- May occasionally help clean apartments, offices, restrooms, and other areas using methods and materials specified by the supervisor.
- Perform interior and exterior painting, as needed.
- Assist higher graded maintenance workers with various daily tasks.
- Operate motor vehicle and Kubota utility vehicle as required.
- Perform other duties related or similar to the type described above.
