Assists with a variety of tasks and operations to prepare, serve and receive payment for food and non-food items offered in the cafeteria. Follows standard practices and procedures in the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Maintains a high level of sanitation and safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.
Minimum Qualifications- Any combination of education and experience that would demonstrate the capability to perform the duties of the position.
- Restaurant experience is preferred.
- One (1) month effective experience in a retail, convenience store, or restaurant environment preferred.
- Must be able to read, comprehend and follow simple verbal written instruction.
- Must have basic math skills, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to understand work schedules, production sheets and recipes.
- Must be able to operate a cash register, calculate change, calculate stock-on-hand vs. need, and use serving and preparation tools and equipment.
