Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll support the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, helping fans find their favorite merchandise. Use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales goals.

Pay range starting at $10.75/hr-$12.40/hr.

Please note that the final salary depends on factors such as education, location, experience, and meeting role requirements.

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits, leveraging your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Step in to support sales floor operations and leadership tasks when needed.
• Open and close the store as required, handling keys responsibly.
• Operate the register, process sales, and promote add-on sales using benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to management.
• Understand sales goals and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ.
• Work with store management to prevent theft and misuse of store assets.
• Help maintain an organized stock room and a tidy store environment.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

• At least 1 year of retail experience, especially if you love music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise, and lift up to 50 pounds.
