Position: Security Officer - Visitor Center
Location: Hershey, PA

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.81 / Hour

Job Schedule: Friday 4:30 PM – 10:30 PM, Saturday 4:30 PM – 10:30 PM

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding when appropriate to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, using sound judgment at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or access. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help deter loss, theft, or other unwanted activity within the food and beverage environment.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or hazards in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials of employees, contractors, and visitors as required by site policies.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and Allied Universal management to address security-related concerns and provide information as needed.

• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
