As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Control Monitor and Patrol Specialist in Hershey, PA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, support badge and access-control processes, and use computer or tablet systems as needed.

- Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with security protocols and procedures related to employee access within a corporate environment.
- Candidates must exhibit proficiency in using computers or tablets. This includes the ability to navigate various software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital communication tools effectively.
- Candidates should possess a background in customer service. This includes experience in handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage manufacturing location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site requirements, helping to support controlled movement throughout the location.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities through clear and accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
