Gold Education Recruitment is currently working with a number of secondary schools in Bishop’s Stortford, seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to provide flexible, day-to‑day and short-term cover.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school support staff looking for flexible work that fits around other commitments. You’ll play a key role in ensuring learning continues smoothly in the absence of the class teacher.

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared lesson plans
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Supporting students to stay on task and engaged
• Adapting quickly to different schools, subjects, and year groups
• Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day
• Upholding school policies and safeguarding procedures

• Confident, professional, and reliable individuals
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and work independently
• A genuine interest in working with young people
• Previous experience in schools or working with children is desirable but not essential
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are welcome to apply
