Location: East Hertfordshire
SEN Teacher – Alternative Provision (SEMH)
Full-time | 9:00am–3:30pm | Based in Buntingford (Hertfordshire)
Do you thrive working with young people who need a different approach to education?
We are an alternative provision supporting pupils with SEMH needs, looking for a committed SEN Teacher to deliver functional skills, life skills and strong pastoral support in a small, supportive setting. QTS is not essential – experience, resilience and the ability to build positive relationships matter most.
The role:
Teach functional skills and life skills in small groups
Support pupils with SEMH needs to re-engage with learning
Provide consistent behaviour and emotional support
Work closely with a supportive, experienced team
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience with SEMH, SEND or alternative provision
Is calm, adaptable and relationship-focused
Wants to make a real difference every day
Has experience in alternative provision, PRU, or special education (desirable)
Is confident managing behaviour positively and consistently.
Can deliver practical, engaging and differentiated learning.
Has strong communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
