About our School

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled SEN Teacher (Art Specialist) to join a welcoming and inclusive Cognition and Learning Unit within a well-established mainstream primary school. You will work with a small group of KS1 and KS2 pupils with cognition and learning needs, delivering highly personalised teaching in Maths, English, and Art.

Responsibilities

* Take responsible for the quality of teaching and learning for pupils

* Plan and deliver well‑structured, differentiated lessons Maths and English.

* Inspire & support pupils to develop confidence and creativity in Art

* Enhance Art provision to support pupils with:

* Speech, language and communication needs

* Literacy difficulties

* Social, emotional and mental health needs

Complex SEND profiles

* Work collaboratively with class teachers and leadership to support wider learning

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable

* Experience SEN teaching at primary level

* Confident delivering practical and engaging Art lessons

* Able to create a positive, inclusive and well-structured learning environment

* Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
