SEND Teaching Assistant in EYFS and General Teaching Assistant in KS2 – Long‑term temporary and ongoing from September 2026
This combined SEND Teaching Assistant in EYFS and General Teaching Assistant in KS2 role offers the opportunity to support pupils across different phases of the school within a supportive and well‑structured environment. The role provides variety and continuity, supporting early development in EYFS while also contributing to learning and independence in Key Stage
2. This position is ideal for a Teaching Assistant seeking a long‑term, ongoing role with a broad and rewarding remit.
- Provide targeted SEND support for pupils in the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Support learning and development through play‑based and structured activities in EYFS
- Work as a General Teaching Assistant within Key Stage 2 classrooms
- Support pupils on a one‑to‑one or small group basis as required
- Assist with literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum activities
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
- Support classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff across the school
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally across EYFS and or Key Stage 2
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND in an early years setting
- Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to supporting young learners
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt support strategies across different age groups
- Commitment to a long‑term temporary and ongoing role
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Passion for inclusive education and pupil development
