Are you looking for a part‑time caretaker role in a friendly primary school setting in Hertfordshire? Our partner primary school in Hertford is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join the team on a part‑time basis, working 7:00 am – 11:00 am, Monday to Friday. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for children, staff and visitors.

The Role
  • Part‑time Caretaker position
  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 11:00 am
  • September start (or sooner if available)
  • Responsible for opening the school site each morning
  • Carrying out basic maintenance and health & safety checks
  • Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are clean, secure and well‑presented
  • Liaising with school staff and contractors when required
  • Opportunity for additional hours during school holidays
The School
  • Community primary school with nursery provision in Hertford
  • Educates children aged 3‑11 years
  • Good‑sized primary school with over 300 pupils on roll
  • Rated Good by Ofsted following its most recent inspection in December 2023, with inspectors recognising strengths in education, behaviour, personal development and leadership

Can You Offer?
  • Previous site, caretaker, maintenance or facilities experience (preferred but not essential)
