Watton at Stone Scout Group - Recruitment
We are a thriving village Group with over 80+ young members (6-18yrs of age) spread across Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers sections. The sections run a great programme and prepare young members with skills for life. We have a large waiting list from people in the village and surrounding area. The Group has just been granted planning permission for a new Scout hut, and the new hut will offer more usable space and enable expansion of the Group.
For the Group to expand we need more adult helpers – we would love to hear from you if you can provide 1‑2 hours of voluntary time each week. Great training and support is provided. Please message me if you would like to chat about volunteering. Thank you,
Richard – Group Lead Volunteer

Detailed descriptionVolunteering can be a brilliant way to boost your mental wellbeing. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way.
Scouts can make you feel good in other ways too. We’ll guide you to an opportunity where you’ll:
- Make friends and meet people
- Try new things and challenge yourself
- Get outdoors and get stuck in
- Positively impact your community
- Make memories that'll last a lifetime
If you can only occasionally help, that’s OK. Whether you’d like to be an activity planner, tea‑maker or craft creator, we appreciate any time you can spare.
