Ditch the Sunday Scaries. Rediscover why you became an Assessor.

Looking for a better work-life balance?

Maybe you're currently working in a Further Education college, apprenticeship provider or work-based learning…
Maybe you're managing an ever-growing caseload…
Maybe your evenings are spent chasing portfolio evidence…
Maybe you're constantly travelling between employers…
Maybe the Sunday Scaries have become all too familiar…

If that sounds familiar, we'd love to talk!

At St Elizabeth's, we're offering something genuinely different.

No hybrid. No home working. Just genuine face-to-face learning, real relationships, and the opportunity to see the impact of your work every single day.

No endless motorway miles.

No back-to-back employer visits.

Instead, you'll enjoy:

A genuine Monday-Friday role
Regular 9-5 style working hours
One permanent workplace
A supportive Learning & Development team
The opportunity to build lasting relationships with your learners and managers
A role where quality matters more than volume
If you became an Assessor because you enjoy helping people grow, develop and succeed, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

Why this role is different

Here, you'll spend less time chasing evidence and more time coaching people. Less time travelling. More time making a genuine difference.

At St Elizabeth's, you'll become part of one organisation rather than supporting dozens of different employers.

You'll work alongside colleagues across our education, children's homes, adult residential services and supported living, helping them achieve nationally recognised vocational qualifications that directly improve the lives of the people we support.

You'll know your learners.
You'll know their managers.
You'll see their confidence grow.
You'll watch them develop new skills and progress in their careers.
You'll see first-hand the difference your work makes every single day.

About St Elizabeth's

Our integrated services include:

Education
Children's Residential Care

Supported Living
Everything we do is built around four values:

Aspirational | Collaborative | Joyful | Compassionate

As we continue to grow and invest in our workforce, we're expanding our Learning & Development team to ensure colleagues receive the highest quality vocational support and assessment.

What you'll be doing

As a Vocational Assessor, you'll guide learners through their qualification journey, helping them build confidence, competence and professional skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assessing knowledge and competence-based qualifications through workplace observations, professional discussions and portfolio evidence.
Providing supportive, constructive feedback that helps learners develop.
Managing your own learner caseload and planning assessments effectively.
Monitoring learner progress to ensure timely achievement.
Building positive relationships with managers to support workforce development.
Maintaining accurate assessment records and awarding body compliance.
Supporting quality assurance activities.
Delivering learning sessions where appropriate – if this is a new skill for you or something you’ve done before, we’ll support you every step of the way.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same, and where you'll spend your time supporting real people in a real working environment.

Perfect if you're currently working in...

We'd particularly like to hear from you if you currently work in:

A Further Education College
An Independent Training Provider

If you're looking for greater stability, better work-life balance and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your learners, we'd love to hear from you.
