Contract: Full-time, Long-term Temporary

Teach Now is recruiting a confident and engaging KS1 Teacher for a friendly primary school in Hertfordshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who enjoys the energy and curiosity of younger pupils and understands how to build strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics. You will join a supportive Key Stage 1 team where planning is collaborative and teachers are encouraged to bring their own creativity to lessons.

The school has a calm, community-focused atmosphere and is looking for someone who can establish clear routines while making learning enjoyable and accessible.

• Plan and deliver high-quality KS1 lessons.
• Develop pupils’ reading, writing and mathematical understanding.
• Deliver effective phonics teaching.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Maintain positive classroom behaviour and routines.
• Support pupils with SEND and different starting points.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues.

• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience teaching within KS1.
• Sound knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Strong phonics knowledge.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Commitment to inclusive teaching and safeguarding.

Salary is dependent on qualifications and teaching experience.
