Position: Energy & Utilities Infrastructure Engineer - Associate/ Associate Director (Development)

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Member of the Utilities Team within Development, you will lead engagement with and advise clients on technical utilities matters, manage project teams within the UK and internationally, deliver innovative technical solutions and designs, and lead on the master planning, coordination and design of Multi-Utility infrastructure for projects ranging from concept to detailed design.

  • Lead a wide variety of Utility projects from local schemes to nationally significant projects
  • Lead and work within multidisciplinary teams in the UK and internationally, managing coordinated project delivery
  • Provide senior point of contact for Development team and clients on key projects
  • Drive business growth with existing clients and develop new client relationships
  • Deliver projects to the highest standards, on budget and programme
  • Mentor and develop the growing team
  • Provide a high level of commercial awareness, project/programme management and efficient problem solving
Qualifications & Experience
  • Chartered Engineer or in process of obtaining Chartered status
  • Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and infrastructure strategies for small, medium and large schemes in the UK
  • Understanding of Electricity, Gas, Water and Telecommunications networks in relation to new developments
  • Experience with Multi-Utility / iDNO / ICP and commercial risk/opportunities
  • Ability to develop utility demand calculations based on development needs
  • Proven leadership and management of multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with co-professionals and produce high quality reports
  • Experience directing BIM teams (AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Revit) in producing quality project models and outputs
  • Strong client relationship building skills
  • Must obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC)
