Workpack Engineer - Piping

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Workpack Engineer to support the delivery of a major industrial piping project.

The role involves developing and coordinating detailed workpacks to ensure engineering information is translated into clear, practical instructions for site construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage workpacks for piping and mechanical construction activities.
Review P&IDs, isometrics, drawings, specifications and engineering deliverables.
Coordinate with Engineering, Planning, Construction, Quality and HSE teams.
Ensure workpacks include the required materials, drawings, procedures, inspections and testing requirements.
Support construction planning, sequencing and execution.
Update workpacks in line with design changes and site requirements.
Resolve technical and documentation queries during construction.
Maintain accurate documentation and workpack records.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience as a Workpack Engineer, Piping Engineer, Construction Engineer or similar.
Strong understanding of piping installation and mechanical construction.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics and engineering drawings.
Experience preparing construction workpacks.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple workpacks in a fast-paced site environment.

Experience with in pharmaceutical, chemical, process or industrial projects is advantageous.

Qualifications

HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering is preferred.
Relevant construction or engineering experience will be considered.
Valid Safety Passport required.
Relevant site experience/certification advantageous
