Mechanical Engineer

Mechanical Engineer, Ware, initial 2 month Inside IR35 contract

Our client is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer, to facilitate the development of ongoing projects.

You will need to be self-motivated and have autonomy in your work, with the confidence to reach out when support is required. You will collaborate with various stakeholders within and external to the engineering department, as you work to produce reliable products and production methods.

The role of this person is primarily to design enclosures and mechanisms, fit for harsh environments, including (but not limited to)
-40C, marine conditions, and MIL STD. Designs will be produced on CAD (Solidworks) and be translated to both technical drawings, and build guides. These must be legible to all who will read them in the production, quality and manufacturing sectors.

You will have a great attention to detail as you will be inspecting drawings before they are released for manufacture. This attention to detail will be critical when testing prototypes or when assisting production with troubleshooting.

Anyone successful enough to be invited for an interview must be able to demonstrate a basic portfolio with relevant work.
