Salary: £28,000 - £32,000+ Depending on experience

Junior Acoustic Engineer required. Our client is a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in acoustic and noise control solutions, who are based in the Hertford area.
In order to support the ongoing growth of the business, they are seeking a motivated Junior Acoustic Engineer to join their busy Engineering and Design team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone early in their professional career looking to develop within the growing Acoustics industry.
The role is primarily office-based, supporting senior engineers with technical analysis and design work, with opportunities for site visits and travel throughout the UK. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, testing and improvement of noise control solutions whilst developing their technical knowledge and professional experience.
Junior Acoustic EngineerPosition Overview
- Assisting with acoustic data input, analysis and calculations
- Supporting senior engineers with the design of noise control and acoustic solutions
- Assisting with the delivery of engineering projects
- Carrying out technical calculations, analysis, testing and investigations as required
- Identifying and helping to resolve technical issues and problems
- Assisting with project coordination and contracting activities
- Supporting the development, testing and implementation of engineering solutions
- Maintaining awareness of relevant health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering best practice initiatives
- Attending occasional site visits and travelling throughout the UK as required
Position Requirements
- An understanding of fundamental engineering principles; acoustics experience would be advantageous
- Some practical or project-based engineering experience
- CAD experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience working on engineering projects from concept through to delivery
- Membership of, or working towards membership of, a relevant professional engineering institution would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Strong willingness to learn, show initiative and develop professionally
£28,000 - £32,000+ depending on experience
