About the Role
As Service Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of a safe, cost-effective and high-quality service. You will play a key role in supporting individuals to maximise independence, maintain relationships and access community opportunities.
You will also support and develop staff, ensure compliance with safeguarding and care standards, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management
* Support and develop support staff to deliver excellent care
* Coach less experienced team members working with complex individuals
* Ensure safeguarding concerns are reported in line with policy
* Promote dignity, rights and person-centred values at all times
* Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
Service Delivery
* Organise staff resources effectively to meet commissioned hours
* Review and implement support plans, risk assessments and behaviour plans
* Carry out audits and quality assurance checks
* Contribute to pre-admission assessments and care planning
* Ensure accurate and compliant record keeping
Governance & Compliance
* Promote safe financial management for service users
* Escalate concerns to the Registered Manager
* Ensure adherence to national care standards and health & safety regulations
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has at least 2 years’ experience supporting adults with complex needs
* Has experience supervising or managing staff
* Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
* Has experience working within a multi-agency environment
* Is confident in safeguarding, mental capacity and person-centred planning
* Holds NVQ/QCF Level 3 (minimum) in Health & Social Care
You will be a calm, resilient and values-driven leader who thrives in a hands-on environment and leads by example
