Full-time or Part-time (Minimum 24 hours per week) Make a Real Difference Through Rehabilitation We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our clients multidisciplinary team within a modern care and rehabilitation setting in Ware, Hertfordshire. This is a unique opportunity to work primarily within a dedicated 13-bed Intermediate Care Unit , supporting individuals who have been discharged from hospital or referred from the community for further rehabilitation.
You will play a vital role in helping people regain confidence, maximise independence, and achieve safe and successful discharges. As the dedicated Occupational Therapist, you will work closely alongside a Physiotherapist and wider nursing and care teams, making a genuine impact on residents' recovery journeys.
Key Responsibilities Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments and develop rehabilitation plans. Deliver person-centred rehabilitation interventions to residents. Provide professional advice and guidance to residents, families, carers, and multidisciplinary team members. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning. Undertake home access visits where required to assess environments and recommend equipment or adaptations. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records. Deliver training and guidance to care teams on equipment use and rehabilitation techniques.
Promote resident independence, wellbeing, and quality of life. Ensure adherence to health and safety, infection control, and clinical governance standards. About You You will be a dedicated Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting older adults through rehabilitation and recovery. Essential Requirements BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification. Current HCPC registration. Strong clinical assessment and rehabilitation skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
