We are seeking to recruit an individual with experience of HR skills, expertise, and experience to add a useful perspective to our board of trustees.
This person would help All Nations think practically and strategically about how to recruit, support, and develop staff and volunteers to equip God’s church around the world for God’s Mission.
They would help the board consider caring careful management of our staff in the UK and around the world as we transform the organisation from a College in one place to an international collaborative training organisation.
Core Responsibilities- HR Practices: Supporting the College HR Lead with the application of godly HR practice, policies and procedures including employee relations, staff performance, staff recruitment/retention and change management.
- Advising on organisational responsiveness: Advise on how the College can be organised to be responsive to evolving needs and methods in Higher Education and mission training more broadly.
- Supporting trustees on HR law and policy: Support the trustees with regard to current HR good practice and law; consulting and suggesting revisions or changes to College policies.
- Contribute to board deliberations: Help weigh suggestions and recommendations from the management and other trustees especially considering the perspectives of staff, volunteers, and other personnel.
- Prayerful: Habitually prays to discern God’s guidance for themselves and others.
- HR Expertise: Able to keep abreast of current HR issues and work with senior management to help them apply good practice.
- HR Systems: Support the trustees and senior team in the selection of appropriate HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems).
- International HR: Provide some awareness or perspective on issues related to employment outside the UK.
- Succession Planning: Support the board on the replacement of key roles to ensure that the trustees and senior management team have the right skills and capacity available for the tasks ahead.
- Networking: Provide relationships in the HR world to provide access to periodic specialist needs of the College.
