Pre Pres Operative

Position: Pre Pres Operative (Contract)
Location: East Hertfordshire

Jark Stevenage are urgently recruiting for a Pre Press Operative for a Stevenage Printing company.

This is an established company with strong growth with excellent prospects of progression. This role is a temporary to permanent position for the right person

Pre-press is to aid production, increase output and maintain quality/efficiencies. Working to ensure orders are ready in line with the company schedule.

• Multi skilled within pre-press, must have the ability to cover all 3 key areas, Plate ordering, Plate mounting and ink mixing.

Daily Tasks

• Plate ordering/administration
- • Plate mounting

• Ink mixing and colour matching.

• Plate making.

• Cleaning recycled printing plates.

• Producing plate negs for in house plates.

• Carrying out pre-shift inspections for the pre-press room.

Weekly Tasks

• Keeping records of plate usage and reporting these back to the production manager

• Keeping records of ink usage and cost savings

• Ordering of ink.

• Recycling of inks and safe disposal of old inks.

Monthly Tasks

• Stocktake of the ink store.

£25k to £28k per annum – depending on experience.
Hours 7am till 4pm - 20 min tea break and 30 minutes for lunch
