As a Bodyshop Polisher / Vehicle Polisher, you'll be responsible for the final finishing stages of vehicle repairs, ensuring paintwork and repaired areas achieve a smooth, polished, and high-quality finish before vehicles are returned to customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Polishing newly painted and repaired vehicle panels to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Removing paint imperfections such as runs, orange peel, dust, and minor defects.
- Carrying out machine polishing and finishing using appropriate equipment and compounds.
- Inspecting completed paintwork to identify areas requiring further correction or refinement.
- Working closely with Paint Sprayers and other Bodyshop technicians to ensure repairs are completed to the required standard.
- Carrying out final preparation and presentation checks before vehicle handover.
- Maintaining polishing equipment, tools, and materials in good working condition.
- Keeping the working area clean, safe, and professionally maintained.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Bodyshop Polisher / Vehicle Polisher / Automotive Polisher / Paint Finisher / Vehicle Detailer with a strong eye for detail and pride in delivering exceptional finishes.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Polisher within a Bodyshop, accident repair centre, or automotive refinishing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machine polishing, paint correction, and vehicle finishing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality presentation.
- Ability to identify and correct paint imperfections effectively.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a skilled Bodyshop team.
- A full UK driving licence.
