This role offers a starting salary within Nacro’s pay structure of £28,851 per annum with expected progression to £29,572 per annum within the first year, subject to meeting clear criteria and performance standards, with further pay progression available in the future. As an Intensive Engagement Officer, you will provide resettlement support to male offenders and ex-offenders, both in custody and in the community with the aim of supporting them to overcome barriers to their personal wellbeing and successfully reintegrate into society. In this role you will work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting to maintain professional relationships and appropriate confidentiality of information.

You will need to have a clear understanding of the support requirements of people under supervision of the Probation Service and experience of providing information, advice, and guidance to this client group. Experience delivering interventions in a group setting with research, analysis, and problem-solving skills are essential.

You will have to demonstrate great listening skills and communicate effectively, while showing that you can appropriately respond to challenging behaviour when you need to. You will be developing practical and achievable resettlement plans and support the development of the interventions which are delivered alongside these plans.

This role requires regular travel across an allocated area and therefore, a Full Driving License and access to your own vehicle with business insurance are essential.
