Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (DOE)
Butler Rose North Practice is delighted to be working with an established accountancy practice who is looking to recruit an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role across audit, accounts and corporation tax. You will work directly with a Partner and take responsibility for leading a portfolio of audit assignments, while also being involved in a significant amount of accounts preparation work.
Key Responsibilities:- Working directly with a Partner on a portfolio of clients.
- Leading and managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Undertaking audit fieldwork at client premises when required.
- Preparing statutory and year-end accounts for a range of clients.
- Preparing CT600 Corporation Tax Returns.
- Liaising closely with the tax department to provide information and assistance with personal tax returns.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
- Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Supporting more junior members of the team where appropriate.
- Previous audit experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience leading or taking responsibility for audit assignments.
- Strong accounts preparation experience.
- Knowledge of corporation tax and experience preparing CT600s.
- The ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- The confidence to work closely with Partners and clients.
- A proactive, organised and professional approach.
Candidates who are qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE) may be considered, depending on their overall experience and suitability for the position.
