Accounts Assistant

The Opportunity

As the Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting day‑to‑day finance operations. You’ll work closely with the wider team to maintain accurate financial records and ensure smooth processing across Accounts Payable, Credit Control, bank reconciliations and general finance tasks.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

* Accounts Payable:
Processing supplier invoices, managing payment runs, and resolving supplier queries

* Accounts Receivable:
Raising customer invoices, allocating payments, and supporting credit control activity

* Bank Reconciliations:
Completing routine reconciliations and investigating discrepancies

* General Ledger Maintenance:
Posting journals, accruals and prepayments, and assisting with month‑end processes

* Ad Hoc Financial Support:
Providing general transactional finance support and assisting with finance projects as required

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience in a transactional finance role such as Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Finance Officer, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Credit Control, Sales Ledger Clerk or Finance Admin

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

* Strong communication skills to handle internal and external finance queries

* Competent Excel skills and experience of using accounting software

* A proactive, organised and team‑focused approach
