Are you an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver looking for a long-term opportunity within a successful manufacturing business? We are recruiting for a Production Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established and growing company within its Packing Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual with recent Counterbalance FLT experience who is looking to secure a permanent position with a company that values commitment, safety, and teamwork.
The RoleWorking as part of a busy production and packing team, you will play a key role in ensuring products are packed, stored, and moved safely and efficiently throughout the site. The role combines production duties with regular FLT Counterbalance operation.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move raw materials and finished goods.
- Load and unload pallets from production and storage areas.
- Supply production lines with materials as required.
- Operate packing and production equipment safely and effectively.
- Carry out routine equipment and FLT checks, reporting any defects.
- Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
- Complete product sampling and quality checks where required.
- Pack, palletise, band, and wrap finished products to specification.
- Transfer finished goods to designated warehouse locations.
- Complete production records and paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Support the wider manufacturing and warehouse teams as required.
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence/certification.
- Recent and proven Counterbalance FLT experience within a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
- Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, packing, or warehouse role.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices.
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
- £14.05 per hour
- Monday to Friday working pattern
