Salary: £12.21–£14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Type: Full Time or Part time (please see details of flexible working options below)

Hours: 08:30-15:30

Start Date: January 2026

A fantastic school in Hexham is looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real impact, and the school is highly supportive and welcoming.

• 1:1 support for a pupil with behavioural needs
• Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SEN team
• Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
• Opportunity for long-term, rewarding work

• The school is happy to offer flexible working for the right candidate, including:
• Full-time (Monday–Friday)
• Part-time (3–4 days per week)
• Shorter hours across 5 days

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
• Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
• Resilient, patient, and able to build strong relationships
• Committed to promoting positive outcomes for the child
