Salary: £12.21–£14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full Time or Part time (please see details of flexible working options below)
Hours: 08:30-15:30
Start Date: January 2026
A fantastic school in Hexham is looking to appoint a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real impact, and the school is highly supportive and welcoming.
Responsibilities- 1:1 support for a pupil with behavioural needs
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and SEN team
- Helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
- Opportunity for long-term, rewarding work
- The school is happy to offer flexible working for the right candidate, including:
- Full-time (Monday–Friday)
- Part-time (3–4 days per week)
- Shorter hours across 5 days
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour
- Resilient, patient, and able to build strong relationships
- Committed to promoting positive outcomes for the child
