Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role, based in Hexham, for a Senior/Associate Planner. The primary responsibilities include managing planning projects across various sectors, preparing and submitting planning applications, liaising with clients and other stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines. Additionally, the role will involve preparing detailed reports, attending site visits, and contributing to the development of planning strategies that align with the company’s values and goals.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of town planning legislation, planning policy, and development control processes
  • Experience in managing planning applications, conducting site appraisals, and assessing environmental and social impacts
  • Proficiency in report writing and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with clients, local authorities, and multidisciplinary teams
  • An RTPI accredited degree or relevant qualification in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field
  • Proven ability to work effectively within project deadlines and lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Membership or eligibility for membership with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is highly desirable
