About the Role
Are you looking to kick‑start your career in logistics and supply chain with a leading international manufacturer? At EGGER, we’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Undergraduate to join our Transport Planning team in Hexham. This placement provides hands‑on experience across UK and European logistics operations, giving you real responsibility and the chance to develop valuable industry skills.

- Support the Transport Planning team with coordinating and scheduling deliveries across the UK and Europe
- Assist with daily and weekly operational planning, including route preparation and scheduling
- Provide customs support, including documentation, data entry, and compliance checks
- Help collect and analyse transport and customs data to identify trends and risks
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency and service
- Collaborate with internal teams, warehouses, carriers, and customer service to ensure smooth operations
- Currently in the second year of a degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
- A strong analytical thinker with good problem‑solving skills
- Proactive, organised, and self‑motivated
- Confident in using IT tools, especially MS Office 365, Teams, and Excel
- An effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Detail‑focused, with a high level of accuracy
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn
- Knowledge of logistics systems such as SAP (preferred but not essential)
- Practical, real‑world experience in an international logistics environment
- Exposure to cross‑border transport and customs processes
