A bit about the roleAs a Residential Support Worker at Monksfield, you’ll play an important part in children’s daily lives — supporting them through routines, personal care, play, learning and social activities. Our children have moderate to severe learning difficulties and complex health needs, and your support helps them feel safe, understood and able to thrive.
You’ll help each young person build new skills, discover interests and grow in confidence through meaningful, engaging experiences that make their world bigger and brighter.
The role also involves completing risk assessments, contributing to care plans, advocating for each child and working closely with families and professionals to ensure their needs are met with care and consistency.
It’s an active, hands‑on role that calls for compassion, patience and genuine commitment. Staff often bring their own hobbies — from music to sports to crafts — to inspire children and open up new opportunities.
With varied shifts across mornings, evenings, nights and weekly sleep‑ins, flexibility is essential, and every day brings something different.
