Power Distribution Designer

We are seeking a Power Distribution Designer to support electrical and power distribution projects in the Tampa area. This role is currently remote; however, candidates must be located in the Orlando, FL area and comfortable transitioning to a hybrid work environment in the future.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical mindset and prior exposure to the power, energy, or utilities industry who is interested in supporting the design and execution of electrical distribution projects.

• Prepare detailed project and job packages for electrical and power distribution installations
• Develop material lists and requisitions needed to support project execution
• Prepare labor estimates and project-related documentation
• Create and support site drawings and construction drawings for distribution projects
• Review project requirements and translate technical information into accurate work packages
• Help ensure designs and project packages are completed in a cost-effective manner
• Coordinate the documentation needed to move power distribution projects from planning into construction
• Support multiple project deliverables while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Prior knowledge or experience within the power, energy, or utilities industry
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand technical project requirements
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Previous experience supporting power distribution projects
• Exposure to preparing construction packages, drawings, material lists, estimates, or similar project documentation
