At Emphasys HFA (Housing Finance Agency), a division of Emphasys, we build and support the only end-to-end financial software in the U.S. dedicated to affordable housing. As the largest full-service provider in this space, we enable State Housing Finance Agencies and other public organizations to administer programs that help families access affordable home ownership or rental housing. Our solutions power the financial backbone that processes funding, manages compliance, and ensures every dollar of support is tracked and maximized.

Reporting to the Strategic Account Executive, we are hiring a Business Development Representative to support Emphasys HFA's growth and expand the capacity of our sales function. As our new Business Development Representative, you will combine targeted business development with hands-on support across RFPs, contracts, customer opportunities, and the early stages of the sales process. You will research the HFA market, identify new contacts and opportunities across existing and prospective accounts, coordinate information across Product, Client Services, Marketing, and other teams, and help move opportunities forward.

Over time, as you build your knowledge and confidence, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller product sales opportunities from initial conversation through close.

This is a full-time, remote role based in the United States. Eastern or Central Time zones are preferred.

Purpose and impact. You will represent technology that supports Housing Finance Agencies and public organizations delivering affordable home ownership and rental housing programs. Your work will help connect these organizations with the software they rely on to manage the financial and operational backbone of their programs, giving you a clear connection between the relationships you build, the solutions you introduce, and the communities those organizations serve.

A foundation for a long-term sales career. You will gain experience well beyond prospecting, working alongside experienced Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and Product teams and gaining exposure to customer relationships, RFPs, contracts, cross-sell opportunities, and the full sales cycle. As you build your knowledge and demonstrate your ability to manage opportunities, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of smaller product sales from start to close and continue expanding your responsibilities.
