Vice President of Sales

Director of Sales, VP of Sales, or General Manager, depending on background and whether the right person also wants ownership of operations)

Confidential search. Our client is an established building automation and controls company serving commercial, critical facilities, education, and healthcare customers across Florida.

They're hiring a senior leader to own and grow sales performance in the Florida market. This is a primarily sales focused role, though for someone who wants broader scope, there's room to take on operations as well and shape this into a General Manager position.

• Build, hire, and coach a sales team, holding them accountable to pipeline and revenue targets
• Set sales strategy for the region, own forecasting, and track the numbers that matter, pipeline velocity, conversion, average deal size
• Develop account strategies in key verticals and bring in business in markets that haven't been fully worked yet
• Make pricing and deal structuring calls that protect margin without losing deals
• Represent the business locally, at industry events and with top accounts
• Work closely with operations (or run it directly, depending on the candidate) to keep delivery and sales aligned

• A track record growing a building automation, HVAC controls, or related technical sales business, as an individual sales leader, sales manager, or sales director
• Comfort owning outcomes, not just activity, whether as a P&L owner or a senior sales leader
• Background in energy efficiency, building automation and controls, or a closely adjacent technical and solutions business
• A coaching led leadership style rather than a top down one
• Open to regular in person travel within Florida
