HIBBING FAMILY MEDICAL CLINIC & URGENT CARE in Duluth, MN is seeking a PHYSICAL THERAPIST to join our PT-HIBBING team!

Salary Range: $39.92 - $57.89 Hourly

DAY ONLY, 8 hours

JOB SUMMARY

The Physical Therapist performs the evaluation, planning, treatment and documentation of patient care services. Additional responsibilities include the supervision of Assistants, Attendants and students during the provision of treatments. Therapists will have primary focus in either an inpatient hospital setting OR an outpatient clinic setting.

Inpatient Acute Care Focus. The Inpatient Therapist will be assigned to one or more inpatient settings including: acute care orthopedics, acute care neuro/ICU/general and inpatient acute rehabilitation. Shift assignments may include rotations into each of these areas. There is opportunity for specialty focus in the areas of: stroke rehabilitation, brain injury, spinal cord, post‑op orthopedic, care wound care, lymphedema, etc. Additional training and diversification is available in the outpatient clinics or home care settings if desired.

Inpatient therapists rotate weekend and holiday assignments.

Outpatient Clinic Focus. The Outpatient Therapist will be assigned to one or more outpatient clinics. Each clinic services a wide variety of patient populations. There is opportunity to develop specialty practice in areas such as: vestibular rehab, TMD, pelvic floor, women’s health, lymphedema, sports medicine and others. Additional training and diversification is available in the inpatient setting or home care settings if desired.

Responsibilities also include rotation of weekend and holiday assignments in the inpatient setting.

KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Wound care, joint mobilization, soft tissue mobilization; ability to relate well to people of all ages, economic and ethnic backgrounds; muscle strengthening; endurance training, cardiovascular response to exercise.

  • READING - Intermediate:
    Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • WRITING - Intermediate:
    Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
  • SPEAKING - Intermediate:
    Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    - Basic Skills:

    Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate

    Skills:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES - Skilled at assessment and knowledgeable of growth and development. Provides appropriate care respective to the ages of the patients served per clinical environment.

Ability to lift thirty (30) pounds
