Job Overview

Fairview Range is hiring an Environmental Services Assistant in our Housekeeping Department in Hibbing, MN.

As an Environmental Services Assistant, you will provide an outstanding level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment consistent with department procedures and protocols.

This position will work 40 hours per two weeks on the Day shift. Weekends:
Every other Weekend.

As an Environmental Services Assistant, you are responsible for:

• Providing outstanding customer service.

• Demonstrating accurate safety, emergency, and security protocols.
• Demonstrating accurate use and care of equipment.

• Provide a superior level of cleaning quality in an assigned area to maintain a clean working environment consistent with department procedures and protocol.
• Use proper chemicals and dilution ratios with proper supplies for task and replenish supplies.
• Demonstrate knowledge and application of infection control standards, isolation room cleaning, personal protective equipment and appropriate hand hygiene techniques.
• Follow proper procedures for assigned areas and properly document work assignments.
• Properly handle and dispose of regulated, non-regulated and recyclable waste.
• Remain flexible to change in assignments and tasks as needed.
• Demonstrate knowledge of linen, assemble distribute adequate amounts of linen to locations and delivery procedures including accurately weigh and document weights to appropriate departments, adjust par levels as needed and remove stained and damaged linen needing repair from inventory.
• Demonstrate knowledge and procedures and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate successful completion of cleaning standards by evidence of quality inspections.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess the ability to read, write and follow written and oral directions.
• Must demonstrate aptitude for successful completion of tasks.
• Must have knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to interact effectively through demonstration of positive and effective communication.
• Ability to organize and prioritize.
• Able to function under pressure and in stressful situations.
• Able to read, write and add numbers.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years cleaning experience.

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign‑on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
