Overview

Join to apply for the Team Leader role at H&R Block
. We are seeking a leader who can inspire a client-focused team and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You will lead and develop tax office associates to deliver an outstanding client experience and contribute to office growth.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and development for tax office associates; deliver an outstanding client experience and achieve office growth objectives.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
  • Lead daily activities to ensure deadlines, quality standards, priorities, and goals are met.
  • Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions, creating an engaging team environment.
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
  • Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
  • Prepare tax returns, as required.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns.

  • Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries.
  • 2+ years as a Tax Professional.
Your Expertise
  • Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or a similar role.
  • Experience supervising or managing people.
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
  • Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision; customer-centric mindset, resilience, and adaptability.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to business needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
