Job Overview

Fairview Range is looking for a compassionate Unit Nursing Assistant/Ward Clerk to join our Women’s Health and Birth Center (WHBC) in Hibbing, MN. The Unit Assistant/Ward Clerk works under nursing direction to provide patient care while functioning as a nursing assistant and health unit coordinator. Duties include patient care, vitals, bathing, feeding, answering call lights, transporting, environmental care, and coordinating unit communication.

Part‑time, 48‑60 hours per two weeks, 12‑hour day/night shifts and every third weekend.

Our WHBC offers private suites and the latest medical technology. All unit RNs are trained in Labor & Delivery, Post‑Partum, and lactation support, including Certified Lactation Consultants. We provide inpatient and outpatient lactation services.

• 10 beds, including 4 labor and delivery suites
• More than 300 baby deliveries annually
• IBCLC trained staff within the department
• Care team includes OB Physicians, Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians, Family Practice Physicians, CRNAs, RNs, LPNs.

• Perform delegated nursing functions for assigned patients: personal cares, ambulation, exercise, nutrition, specimen collection, and vital signs.
• Perform newborn screens and document results in EMR.
• Perform receptionist functions and clerical responsibilities.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant course.
• Current BLS certification or attend BLS class within 3 months of employment and maintain certification. Current BCS or acquire within three months of employment and maintain certification.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of work performing similar job responsibilities.
• CNA.
