JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The basic function of the Project Engineer is to assist the Project Manager with administering, directing and coordinating the functions of the field supervisory personnel of the operations division. The Project Engineer reports to and is directly accountable to the Project Manager
REQUIREMENTSEducation
- Required:
Must have a master’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field. Or a master’s or bachelor’s degree in other field with 5 years of Project Engineer experience. - Preferred:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering.
Experience
- Required:
Internship with field experience - Preferred:
Internship and/or 2 years of job-related experience.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Position requires an understanding of industry practices and trends and their impact on the corporation. Individual must have interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills.
- Assist with the development and implementation of normal operating procedures for overall project operations.
- Act as company representative in negotiations with the owners.
- Review project plans and proposals, and work with management to develop project objectives.
- Ensure the preparation of required project documentation.
- Contribute to communication plan and change management elements.
- Determine long lead items for pre-order requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate activities and resources needed for efficient execution of work.
- Prepare project status reports and provide data to others for reporting as needed.
