Position SummaryLenoir-Rhyne University (LR) is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, systems thinker to support the academic success of our students and maintain accurate academic records. Reporting to the University Registrar, the Coordinator will manage student transfer evaluations, degree audits, and graduation processes.

ReportingThe Transfer and Graduation Coordinator reports to the University Registrar.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Maintain a strong commitment to the integrity, accuracy, and security of all student data, following FERPA guidelines and university academic policies.
- Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty advisors, and deans to perform degree audits and ensure students meet graduation requirements.
- Coordinate the student graduation clearance process, reviewing applications, awarding degrees, and producing diplomas.
- Serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff on academic policies, procedures, transfer evaluations, audit information, and other academic matters.
- Use the student information system (SIS) (currently Power Campus), Microsoft Office Suite, curriculum audit software (Stellic), Slate (CRM), and other relevant software to manage records, generate reports, and verify graduation status.
- Provide timely transfer evaluations for new and current students, including initial evaluations, updates, appeals, and approvals.
- Assist with processing student‑ and faculty‑submitted forms such as Course Offering Change, Grade Change, Program Change, and Manual Registration.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficient computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience working with individuals at all university levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Effective problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management, able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in managing student records.
- Availability to work outside normal business hours occasionally (campus events, pre‑registration, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships among diverse faculty, staff, and students.
- Initiative, creativity, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Systems thinker who evaluates processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a Registrar Office or other college academic administration office.
- Understanding of degree audit systems (Stellic) and experience with transfer evaluation practices.
- Familiarity with academic policies, procedures, and regulations governing higher education institutions.
