Job Description
** Summary of Performance Expectations
** Performs a variety of administrative and organizational services for the physician's office. Receives and registers patients, manages the telephone, schedules appointments and collects payments and co-payments. Attend scheduled meetings, seminars, and classes.
** Education and Credentials:
**** Required
* * High School diploma or equivalent.
** Preferred
* * Formal technical or vocational education in healthcare management. Medical terminology. Basic computer application skills.  Basic accounting skills.

* Work Experience:

**** Required
* * One year experience in an office environment performing office duties. Data entry skills.  Ability to operate standard office machines, such as programmable telephone, copier and PC system.  Good grammatical, punctuation and mathematical skills.  Ability to learn basic computer applications.  Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
** Preferred
* * Two or more years of experience in a physician’s medical office/clinic. Knowledge of basic ICD-10 and CPT codes.
