Summary of Performance ExpectationsA senior analyst is an advanced professional who has demonstrated the characteristics of a senior professional. The analyst acquires and maintains expertise in assigned software applications and understands the software life cycle (business process, requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and training). The analyst relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, exercising creativity and latitude. The analyst works with stakeholders during application acquisition to ensure scope and objectives are understood and requirements met, formulates systems that parallel overall business strategies, works with super users and stakeholders to ensure upgrades are tested and completed, interacts directly with business owners/subject matter experts to interpret business needs, identifies modifications and improvements to enhance efficiencies and performance of systems, documents processes, constructs use cases and workflow diagrams, facilitates meetings with stakeholders, assists with software audits, and obtains expertise with tools such as report writers and Microsoft Office products.
EducationAnd Credentials
- Associate degree in Management of Information Systems or related field. Strong information systems knowledge required. Experience in application user, analyst, or project implementation roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Management of Information Systems or related field.
- Ten years previous healthcare experience in an Information Systems role or ten years of technology experience. Five years technical experience. Successful demonstration of knowledge with hospital information system applications. Proven experience with software life cycle and successful acquisition and installation of software applications. Leadership experience working with teams and process improvement. On-the-job training should make the incumbent proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment.
Work Experience
- Knowledge of report writers and database applications either directly or through supervision.
- Experience with process management and content management systems.
