Mission Critical Project Manager – Ajax Division
Job SummaryThe Mission Critical Project Manager administers, directs, and coordinates field supervisory personnel and subcontractors within the operations division, ensuring profit maximization, cost control, and stable growth. The Project Manager serves as the primary interface between Ajax, architects, engineers, and owners, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities- Hire, terminate, or re‑assign assigned personnel in accordance with company policies.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for overall project operations.
- Approve material purchases, equipment rentals, and tools that are not included in the initial estimate.
- Represent the company in negotiations with owners and approve contract agreements and costs for outside repairs.
- Oversee preparation of the project budget and schedule.
- Audit project activities to ensure efficiency, profitability, and compliance from contract signing through warranty completion.
- Participate actively in the company’s Quality Improvement Plan.
- Supervise and maintain positive relations with project managers and owners.
- Utilize reports for management to assess time, cost, quality, and safety effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (required).
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree with field experience in construction management. - 3+ years of construction management experience (required).
- 5+ years of construction management experience (preferred).
- Experience managing mission‑critical / data‑center projects from conception to completion (required).
- General Contractors License (preferred).
- Strong understanding of industry practices, trends, and their corporate impact.
- Advanced interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
