Responsibilities- Ensure equipment operates efficiently through preventive maintenance, calibration, and prompt breakdown maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment failure and perform root‑cause analysis.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work according to scheduled downtime.
- Complete maintenance work orders, CMMS (AS 400, Maximo), predictive maintenance checklists, and other documentation.
- Communicate changes or issues to coordinators, supervisors, and operators.
- Support production and engineering departments with maintenance repair needs.
- Define maintenance requirements for new machinery designs or upgrades to existing equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering on projects, and with outside contractors on PMs and repairs.
- Procure parts for projects or machine repairs as needed.
- Work in a team environment that encourages safety awareness and mutual respect.
- Maintain consistent material handling procedures in accordance with safety and environmental protocols.
- Equivalent to an accredited apprenticeship program in trade, craft, or occupation preferred.
- Thorough understanding of machine function and equipment processes.
- Proficiency with volt meters, ohm meters, flow meters, thermometers, lathes, milling machines, drill press, band and cutoff saws, pipe bending and threading equipment, metal grinders, shear and brake machines, welding equipment, micrometers, dial and digital calipers, and small hand and power tools.
- Technical degree or 3–5 years of experience.
- Heavy lifting on rare occasions, typically assisted.
- Light lifting for the majority of the time.
- Possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, and noise.
Hourly rate: $29.75 – $34.50, commensurate with location, experience, training, and education.
