Position: Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Room – Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, NC. Full-time days schedule with 12-hour shifts. $20,000 sign-on bonus eligible. Every other weekend required. Two plus years of experience for the unit.

How you will contribute (Responsibilities)
  • Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs.
  • Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient.
  • Perform timely and accurate documentation related to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Be responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
  • Perform timely and accurate quality improvement (QI) assessments.

What we are looking for / Qualifications
  • Current state RN license.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
  • Two years of previous ER experience preferred.
