Frye’s Same Day Surgery Unit includes three areas:
Pre-admission testing (PAT), Same Day Surgery (SDS) and Pre-operative Holding. Our PAT nurses see about 14 patients per say and speak to additional patients via phone. Same Day Surgery (20 rooms) provides pre and postoperative care to patients undergoing outpatient surgery and endoscopies.
- Assesses patient’s status per unit and organization policies and standards of practice.
- Assumes the responsibility of the professional nurse by demonstrating accountability and seeking opportunity for continued growth.
- Performs duties as an independent and empowered member of the healthcare team.
- Maintains organized work area and participated in daily unit duties.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
