Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Travel Nursing Job in Hickory, NC

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)

• Shift: 4×10 hour day shifts (06:45 – 17:15)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Call Requirements: 7 days per month, including some weekends
• Setting:
  Operating Room (13‑bed surgical unit)
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 nurse‑to‑patient ratio
• Electronic Health Record:
  Cerner EHR

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) RN experience
• Experience with advanced surgical technology:
  Da Vinci robotics, Mako, Holmium Laser, and Hana table preferred
• Ability to take scheduled call shifts, including weekends
• Comfortable caring for adult and minimal pediatric (outpatient) surgical patients
• Travel nurses must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, prioritizing patient safety and positive surgical outcomes
• Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during surgical procedures using advanced equipment
• Monitor and assess patients throughout the perioperative process (pre‑op, intra‑op, post‑op)
• Document all care accurately in Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training as required
• Follow hospital policies and dress code (scrubs provided via hospital scrub machine)
