The Registered Nurse Pulmonary Stepdown provides high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers, focusing on pre- and post-operative nursing for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, reporting changes promptly.
- Perform procedures and administer prescribed medications, monitoring responses.
- Document care accurately and thoroughly in medical records.
- Maintain knowledge of relevant medications, procedures, and equipment.
- BSN or enrolled in an advanced degree program with a plan to obtain within 5 years; exemptions for experienced RNs.
- Current RN licensure in North Carolina; BLS and ACLS certifications.
- At least one year of nursing experience; preferred certifications in specialty areas.
