American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of cardiac nursing experience and BLS/ACLS certification.
Details- Night shift position, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 24-bed telemetry unit with 4:1 patient ratios
- Cares for generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adult to elderly
- Common diagnoses include chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre/post care for cardiac caths (groin & radial) and VATS
- Uses Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo, and Cerner equipment/systems
- Required to work every other weekend
- May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units
- 13-week assignment
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac/telemetry nursing experience required
- Associate's degree required
- Experience with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment required
- Cerner EHR experience preferred
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
- Work in a 355-bed Duke Lifepoint Hospital featuring a Brain Center, Cancer Center, Heart Center, Lung Center, Orthopedics, and a Level 3 NICU
- Facility also includes a 32-bed ED, 29-bed inpatient rehab, and a 15-bed surgical suite
- Scrubs of any color are acceptable
- Described as a family-oriented unit
- Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
