Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

We’re working with a growing telecom services company that’s seeking an experienced OSP Technician II to join their team and support outside plant fiber infrastructure projects across aerial and underground environments. This is a hands-on role that involves splicing, testing, and maintaining high-capacity fiber optic networks.

What the right candidate will enjoy:

Required Qualifications of the right candidate:

· 2+ years of experience in OSP fiber splicing, testing, and installation

· Skilled in using OTDRs, fusion splicers, and power meters

· Experience interpreting engineering schematics, fiber layouts, and as-builts

· Proficient in documenting fiber circuits and maintaining accurate splicing records

· Ability to perform live fiber splicing with minimal service impact

· Comfortable working at heights (bucket truck experience up to 40’)

· Strong understanding of OSP safety procedures and industry standards

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with fiber documentation software or platforms

· Familiarity with construction prints, permitting, and locating underground facilities

· Industry certifications (FOA, , OSHA 10/30, etc.)

· Experience supporting network upgrades and maintenance in rural or remote areas

Responsibilities

· Splice, terminate, and test fiber optic cables in aerial and underground environments

· Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on fiber infrastructure

· Work closely with engineers and PMs to ensure accuracy of field work and documentation

· Maintain safety and quality standards while performing all work in accordance with company and industry guidelines

· Travel to different sites as needed (travel expenses covered)
