We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a busy service-based organization in Hicksville, New York. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume setting and brings solid experience managing vendor invoices, payment activity, and account reconciliation. The right candidate will be confident working with Quick Books and Excel while maintaining accuracy, organization, and timely processing across the accounts payable function.

Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices with close attention to accuracy, approvals, and proper account coding.
• Perform three-way matching by comparing purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation before submitting payments.
• Prepare and execute routine check runs and other payment batches in accordance with established schedules.
• Assign general ledger codes to payable transactions and help maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve payment-related issues in a timely manner.
• Enter and update accounts payable data in Quick Books and maintain supporting documentation for audit readiness.
• Use Microsoft Excel to track payment activity, organize reporting, and support daily accounts payable operations.
